hi. hope you had/have happy and safe travels.
wow, what a wonderful and informative peice.
I don’t think i read where you departed and where you arrived?
my partner and i live in australia and we were thinking of doing this trip to india.
i would love ANY additional information you could give to help us along the way.
peace.
Thanks for your comment! We took the Cap Cleveland from Philadelphia (USA) to Auckland (NZ). It took 28 days. I’m sure there are shipping companies that go from AUS to India. We used Hamburg-Sud (http://www.hamburgsued-frachtschiffreisen.de/index.php?id=583&L=2) I don’t know if they have a line to India, but they do Australia to Hong-Kong for sure.
You can also Google for “container ship travels” and you’ll get the few other agencies that book these trips. Quick note, try to avoid areas around Indoniesia and Somalia as they are notorious for pirates, arrrgh. It’s best to ask the status of piracy with the agent.
I hope this helps – happy travels! You’ll love it :)
Looks amazing! The whole world is ahead of you :)
