I am not a violent person. I don’t like watching violent movies and I don’t support violent games. I don’t even like little kid’s military looking action figures. However I accept the fact that it exists and that other people like the “thrill”. Call me a sissy, I don’t care!

The image of a peaceful and positive world…burning NYC!?!?!
But this new video game reallyyyyyyyyyyyyy pushes my buttons! According to the UK Times Online “The game, Left Behind: Eternal Forces, is set in post-apocalyptic New York and features God’s army battling the Antichrist.” “Players are ordered to convert or kill to advance to the next level and remodel America as a Christian-controlled state, and establish its world vision of Christ’s dominion.”
It’s basically a game that promotes “spiritual warfare”….That’s what fucks up the world for centuries and even millenniums…why would anyone create a game based on racism, intolerance, violence in the name of God, trying to spread the truth? That’s exactly what we fear from the “terrorists”…Who’s promoting terrorism now? What’s up with Christianity’s megalomania? Why can’t there be coexistence of different religions and different beliefs on a same territory (earth) without people wanting to prove that what they believe in is the truth…who cares!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And for the christian high ranked community to market and make gazillions of $$$ on crap like this makes me want to puke. No matter how much christian developers “want to provide alternatives to graphic violence”… violence with no blood and no guts, IS STILL VIOLENCE.

The art of killing converting…Scoring “spiritual points”
Ahhhh! I could go on and on! Here’s a few articles that may explain better, calmer and in more details what this piece of crap is about….

And oh my goodness, check out their brainwashing promo video (granted…graphics are pretty cool, but I’m sorry, seeing New-York burning and people laying dead on the streets has nothing positive about it no matter what the ultimate “message” is supposed to be!!!!! )
I feel like I don’t have enough time to do things….like live my life and blog about it! Is that a common blogger problem? I suppose so.
J’imagine bien.
Anyways, I have meant to talk lots about our eventful weekend, now 2 weekends ago (!!!!)… but you can read Justin’s blog post about that. I’ll just provide some fun pictures…
In a nutshell…we met up with friends at The Russian River Brewery in Santa Rosa, where Adam and Eveline gave us the trendiest onion cutting goggles.

And then we went for a little ice skating at the Snoopy Ice Arena….the boys went crazy…

We went to see the closing show of “A Chorus Line” at the 6th street playhouse, with the company of my Dad and Sabine. (Very cool! + I knew a lot of people in it, which was fun).

(C’etait vraiment cool!

Had the amazing and very anticipated dinner at The French Laundry in Yountville. You can read Justin’s detailed expo about it (or also called…food porn).

Ahhh! Finally a blog post out…yeah!
Ahhh! Enfin un post sur mon blog…yeah!
So today is my birthday. I’m 28….and so happy to be! I feel great! I feel young, but not in a naive and stupid kind of way, but in a “man, I can’t believe how good life is and how much I’m appreciating it” kind of way. I feel very free and complete.
I love where I’m at, who I am, who I’m with and what I do. Wow!…I want what what I have. I’ve always been wondering what that was like. It’s overwhelmingly great!
Je me sens super bien!

Apparently, chocolate salami is something well known (in France), but I’ve never heard of it before…Maybe will it be on Christmas’ menu?
Voici quelques recettes:
Here’s some recipes (in French…sorry!):

This Thanksgiving was not spent in warmth, was not inside, did not involve a turkey…But was a lot of fun!!!
We went camping at the Mc Kerricher State Park with the frenchies Julie, Patrice, Eva (and Maya the dog), Adam and Eveline.

We met up semi-early on Thursday in Santa Rosa, and drove up Hwy101, 128 West and up Hwy 1. The weather was beautiful!
Justin and I are not very experienced campers…meaning, we don’t have gear (and are afraid to forget stuff)…So, luckily Julie and Patrice had an extra tent (5 pers. capacity and very aerated). So we brought our blow up bed and about 8 to 10 blankets (I didn’t really count, but it was all the blankets we owned)…we didn’t get cold.
We got there, set up camp (probably the funnest part: building the giant tent), and took a walk on the beach.

The sight was breathtaking, the waves powerful and the spirits high…

…so were the jumps!
… comme les sauts!

We came back to our campsite, and it was getting really dark (and cold). So to meet the traditions (just kidding), the men made the fire and the ladies prepped the food (that’s true).
No turkey for us, but man we ate a lot!!!! We pretty much stuffed ourselves to the max, with the grilled marshmallow grand finale. We laughed a lot, we ate, we drank…a (almost) traditional thanksgiving after all.
The next morning, we had french toast (lots!!!) and some added eggs, bacon and sausage…yes, we stuffed ourselves again.
We drove back down Hwy 1 and stopped several places to experience various interesting works of nature and landed in Mendocino. We had one of the best burgers ever (we stuffed ourselves, again!). A little shopping, a little wondering around, we then departed from each other to get on with the rest of our weekend, which brought us down to Healdsburg.
We spent the evening with Sabine, drinking Margaritas and eating some more…same ol’, same ol’…we crashed at their place. The next day, I finally talked to my sister (I haven’t talked to her probably since June) and we hung out with my Dad and Sabine, eating fajitas…we stuffed ourselves one more time.
So now, we’re back home in our sweet SF, just eating soups and salads (and a few crackers) trying to recoup and not upset the scale too much!
